dread inevitable collapse will it come tumbling down all at once or simply continue its maddening and seemingly unending decline towards nothingness despair no reconciliation all complicit in varying capacities how do you make up for this collective social inaction which continues to take sadness only memories times where life felt less desperate when friends and family had not written you off as completely paranoid and irrational loneliness same home but unable to meet without barriers in place the required separation is unfair and a painful reminder of what we lose to stay safe hatred unmitigated injustice fervent and continued abandonment of "undesirables" the mask is off the mask is off the mask is off maybe it was never on to begin with the far off possibility of a future in which we could take care of one another this dream could not even visit me in my sleep devoid of hope
