@Ash_Kvetchum@nicecrew.digital I can steelman the position of predestination by saying that God knows and we can’t, so it’s our job to continuously try to win souls for Christ and live according to His commandments. Few would argue against that concept, even if they have a semantic or linguistic disagreement. The point of this image was to make a 💩 post and discuss predestination.

@BowsacNoodle@poa.st @Ash_Kvetchum@nicecrew.digital I don’t think there is a future to be known for the individual. God controls the arc of history and knows how things will turn out generally, but we make the future for ourselves with God through our choices. Until we choose, God only sees the possibilities.

@BowsacNoodle@poa.st @Ash_Kvetchum@nicecrew.digital I have already said more than enough on this topic on here and I don't have a desire to fight anyone here. If I'm going to fight I have IRL fights I could fight

  • I get the meme, and it's funny 🍻 . I was stepping from the meme just onto a wider topic/thought spoken aloud--that I hear the term as a pejorative often and (nearly?) never as an actual position. Like "racist" used between the mainstream left and mainstream right. inb4 someone out there informs me xyz denomination exists. I know. lol I'm saying I see Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons more frequently than I see the boogeyman Calvinist, but I hear accusations (misapplications) of "Calvinist!" more, and I find that funny/noteworthy
