#WritersCoffeeClub 22: Share a work you found really challenging to read. Maroon Societies: Rebel Slave Communities in the Americas (edited by Richard Price) was hard to read because it's very long, far-ranging, and dealt with some really hard-to-read materials at times. The payoff was worth it, though, because it had so many varying views of Maroon communities in their highly specific contexts with so many vivid, memorable anecdotes.
