@COMPU73E@retro.pizza but hey our master plan is just to not sell on Steam anymore, that will ensure everyone buys consoles! 🙄

@COMPU73E@retro.pizza I've started selling off my Playstation games, with the ultimate aim of selling my PS5 (holding off for the moment, because even though new consoles have increased in price, the trade-in prices have stayed the same). It won't be missed, as I hardly use the console, and my Steam Deck & Switch 2 cover my gaming needs. If I were to spend £1000 on a new gaming system, it'll be the Steam box- no way would I entertain a digital-only Sony system at that price.

@COMPU73E@retro.pizza Yep! Those prices are wild! Unfortunately it seems the Techpocalypse will be over notime soon!!! I know that at some point I am going to pick up a Switch 2, but other than that I think I am strictly PC gaming from here on out. If I'm going to have to buy digital then it's going to be on PC.

@COMPU73E@retro.pizza this is indeed a vote with your wallet situation, probably the most important in gaming history. i'm excited to see what happens. will we resist, stay on the path of the light? or will we stray from the path, plunge headfirst into the dark abyss? only time will tell. in 10 years, there will be video-essay documentaries about this very moment in history, created by goobers using animal avatars.
