I'm laying in bed feeling a sudden longing for a real tropical downpour. The kind with big fat drops that soak you to the skin almost at once when you walk out into it. The kind that you can hear through the whole house. No wind, just a deluge pouring down from the sky, making warm, steaming rivers down sidewalks and pavement. And then the sun comes again. I miss South Florida.
