It takes a world of patience sometimes. We adopted the cutest sister-kitties ever from the pound but we didn't think to ask about their histories. They must have been through a lot because they wouldn't let either of us near them for over a month and spent most of their time behind or under furniture. They'd sneak out to eat and to watch us. But it was almost five weeks before either of us got to officially pet either of them. (After that, the love-floodgates were wide open! 💕)

@IAmDannyBoling@mstdn.social @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org My cat Goobie was adopted into a housing with a senior cat. Goobie, was the 1 year old kitten, and Tali was 14-ish. So when Tali passed, Goobie was all alone. She was 4 when I introduced Totoro, a 3 month old, to Goobie. There was much disdain at first, but sometimes I see them head to butt at times, and even the rare moment of them cuddling together. There's still a lot of hissing, but I have come to terms with this.
