@bhhaskin@social.bitsofsimplicity.com @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org @LabSpokane@mas.to @douglasvb@m.ai6yr.org I think the trouble mainly occurs when the fiberglass is cracked on impact or an imperfection allows water to get in. Either one can start separation and leaking. But isn't this why we pull our boats out of the water at least once a year and check the entire hull?

@mlanger@mastodon.world @bhhaskin@social.bitsofsimplicity.com @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org @LabSpokane@mas.to with what I want to do, I'm going to need an impact resistant hull. And one that I can scrape against ice and rocks ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Hitting things requires repair and I do not recommend it. If the gelcoat is crazed it needs inspection. If the glass is delaminating you grind it back and put new glass on. Pretty easy fix.
