I find quite little advice regarding the "" treatment "" ( or at least reducing the amount of viruses circulating in your body ) once you do have #covid Prevention is great but when things go wrong and doctors refuse to prescribe antiviral medicine , apart from resting, flushing your nose and checking oxygen levels , are there some more last resort diy tips to lower viral load and the risks of developing #longcovid ? Also my screen reader struggles with indexes/latin / tables so if anyone feels like doing the heavy lifting , a non AI summary/ results retranscription would be greatly appreciated : https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-25342-8.pdf And https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-18676-w.pdf Amongst many others I was looking for articles assessing the effect of common spices , essential oils and other easily accessible compounds ( = no prescription needed , not too expensive and available either in most pharmacies or supermarkets ) i am NOT trying to publicize a snake oil alternative to vaccine , masking or paxlovid This is quite literally the equivalent of comparing options before putting bubble wrap on my single glazed windows every winter #covid19 ( For any mutuals worrying : am not currently sick , friend is )

@Meow@corneill.es I am not a doctor, but I have a section on my website with a collection of research pertaining to treatments which seem to reduce Long COVID. https://covidbc.webfoot.com/therapies/#prevention Some are medicines (e.g. metformin, SSRIs, Xocova), so difficult to get. The easiest ones are vitamin B3 and antihistamines (and of course getting vaccinated). The B3 results are from exactly one paper. There are only two papers about antihistamines and Long COVID, but are is quite a bit of research supporting the use of antihistamines in COVID treatment. My doctor told me to be verrry careful with neomycin (which @Rhyothemis@zeroes.ca linked to) There are some bad side effects.
