@myrtlears@mastodon.social @gnome@floss.social This will need pluming with things like TPM since the keyring is encrypted with your password, so a secret for the keyring needs to be stored in a secure enclave. We did discuss this in the past, but I think this still needs a bunch of work. (Wording might be imprecise since I'm not an expert on this.)

@myrtlears@mastodon.social @gnome@floss.social It also could have a bunch of consequences for how some things work in general. For example, if you back up a keyring file with the secret stored in the TPM, you might have to decrypt the keyring before putting it in the backup, because you don't know the TPM secret.
