apparently GCC has an -Og flag they recommend as the default when working on something and debugging it

@anselmschueler@ieji.de Well -Og is good if you want some optimization and debugability. It is not perfect though. Even -O0 is not perfect for debugging there is some trade offs done in -Og and sometimes the wrong one is done and debugging suffers. Please file a bug if there are some of those cases you find. We can see what can be done to improve those cases.
