@glitzersachen@hachyderm.io @tante@tldr.nettime.org And yeah, in my private life I can get a lot of privacy on my PC, on my mobile this becomes increasingly difficult - despite graphene and no Play Services. And even on my PC this gets more and more a bit of luck, because one doesn't know which data is actually exfiltrated to which LLM by which software. And browser based stuff, SaaS? The hell. And I don't want my life in the "hand" of idiots with AI. I just returned from a vacation with a modern car... Hell no! Never! And if the last bastion falls to the hand of AI... after jia tan (google or chatgpt it) I am not willing to accept massive source code parts created by actors with unclear motives. Especially not, if the big tech has stolen all our work to enable their ahole business. Stolen.

@glitzersachen@hachyderm.io @tante@tldr.nettime.org Stolen as in pirated, ripped of,illegaly used. This is a threat to open source itself. And if _the_ open source flagship embraces it, the war is lost, FOSS has died. And then the suckers mentioned above have won. Besides: the brAInrot caused by AI is measurable. The always worse code is measurable. Semantic ablation is a thing. But if all the devs now embrace AI, their skills are lost. In the end, AI will no longer be able to "improve" (not itself, as mathematically proved), but there will be noone "better" than AI. And yeah, I know, there is a "right" way to use AI, one that at least doesn't hand you over to brainrot. But there are few who still use their brains. And the ethical problems (copyright, environment) remain. Does this provide an idea why to ditch?
