I spent a lot of money at People's Jewelers maybe 10 days ago. In my e-mail, I received 1 or 2 e-mails per day since then promoting jewelry. And an e-mail with a survey. I was annoyed at the avalanche of e-mails, so this morning I filled out the survey. Left a great review for the person who helped me, but gave zero when asked if I would recommend People's Jewelers. About 2 hours later, I got a phone call from someone at People's, very angry, and demanding to know why I left a zero! Guess I should have read the fine print to note the survey was not anonymous? But why call a customer to complain, and demand that the customer reveal why they left a certain score? My guess is a store's bonus or the manager's bonus might be based on the scores they receive. I did call the store back directly, and it was indeed the manager of that store that had called me. Second conversation was more civil than the first. Without asking, she did apologize for the first call. What a strange interaction.
