99% missing from all the discussion of the Strait of Hormuz and how will we get oil and gas and diesel and the expanding mideast conflict is the ever-worsening effect of heating the planet on our present and future survival. When storm surges wipe out 1000s of homes and wildfires burn 1000s more, and floods fill houses to the attic with muddy water, getting the price of diesel down a nickel or dime is little comfort. Instead of bragging about our daddy of all bombs and pretending war is free, maybe a little more attention to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels? Soon? Maybe the next Press Secretary (another blonde attorney, right?) can put this on her to do list. 😩
