@xenogon Could always just use CachyOS with a lengthy update cadence. I know a few people that do monthly/bi-monthly updates on Arch systems for just for that reason. However, if you're looking for a longer time frame then I'd say you're right to look elsewhere as doing something like bi-annual updates will probably bog you down with some manual intervention tasks even on a minimal Arch system.
