@zzzeek@fosstodon.org @glyph@mastodon.social @hynek@mastodon.social i never said there's slop in sqla. you're replying to me saying that code *can* be verified. and your recent adventure is practically tailor-made to avoid this problem: finding the cause is hard, verifying the fix is easy. i just find it hard to believe this is broadly representative what *is* ari's experience? if they had the spoons to verify, they wouldn't need the bot. and if it wasn't working, they wouldn't be using it, so they would self-select out of praising it

Logically, I could not possibly do this because it is _your own_ understanding that erodes, not the "quality" of the code. I can give you an aesthetic criticism of your work (and I have plenty!) but it would be logically impossible for me to distinguish between our aesthetic disagreements and bot slop.
