I actually don’t remember any of that being part of the lore. probably because I was too busy rolling off a cliff trying to dodge an enemy that attacks from around a corner.

One is Gwyndolin, he's one of the bosses you fight behind a fogwall after Ornstien and smough after you get a ring. The other is Petrus after a ertain point. Petrus reveals himself to be a snake to the player and tells the player "You can have fun with her any way you want". PAtches even calls him a bastard after you defeat Nito and return to firelink.
