Fun fact #1: Sociopaths (narcissists, psychopaths, and Machiavellians) never mature past a childlike level. Never.
Fun fact #2: Donald Trump is a narcissistic psychopath. So is Putin. Many of our leaders are some flavour of sociopath. They have no conscience, feel no guilt, have no loyalty, are sadistic...it was probably a bad idea to give them power.
Fun fact #3: 1% of the population are sociopaths. 21% of CEOs are. 25% of the prison population is.

@elasticsoul@mastodon.social Those people automatically rise to the top of any hierarchy where you can advance by striving. State, business, religion, doesn't matter. Also those organizations that are trying to reform society. Those are also run by psychopaths, which is why they are often worse than what they replace. Psychopaths can be identified with a brain scan now. If all potential leaders were scanned, and psychopaths excluded, we would have a very different world.
