#ClimateDiary Facebook is a cesspit I know. I was not on it for 3 years but reactivated my account for local elections in May(stood as a #GreenParty candidate). Awful as it is, it is the best source of local news, including #Wildfires. 3 in last few days. I wouldn’t be aware of any of this without FB. Also the warnings and advice - none of it. 1/2

#ClimateDiary #Wildfires 2/2 Also just want to add: these are all meaningful names and places in the South Downs landscape that I know so well from family walks. Butts Brow, Wilmington, Devil’s Dyke. It is SAD they are burning. And I also know Jim Murray, the Councillor who wrote the message, v well. I somehow did not think that it would come to this so quickly: Jim having to organise extra fire patrols. In 2026. #DystopiaDiary
