Played two rounds of Railway Boom (2026) recently. I was never a fan of auctions as a mechanism in games, but it really works well in this one. You bid the same resources you then need to do anything with what you are bidding *for* (different things in different phases of each round, choosing first or getting a higher multiplier for the objectives). Bidding is just throwing out your resources, but more often than not, it makes a significant difference to win the auction. Fun and different from the euros we play a lot of. #theLudarium #boardGames
