@decadecity I love this! The trickiness around multiline text in SVG was one of the things that sent me down the ImageMagick path in the first place, but I’m delighted you got a solution working. Maybe I’ll give it another go at some point.

@beep Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I use Inkscape for the SVG wrangling as it has better text handling. That produces non-standard SVGs which you then need Inkscape to render properly but it also works fine as a command line tool for rendering so the tool lock-in was acceptable for me for now. (Being a worry stone item I might well rip it all out again in a few weeks if I have a different idea - or, at the other end of the scale, it will sit there forgotten and working fine for years until I change something else that inadvertently breaks it... 🤷 )
