  I don’t think they have a proper name really. given any horizontal pole or line you can zigzag from the ground to the pole and back as long as you want without cutting line or doing much threading — pin jute to the ground, throw a bight over the pole, bring the ball of twine through the bight to make a half-knot, step sideways one, continue. I like burying twine under each indeterminate tomato as I plant them but I don’t get the underground twine back to reuse. @colo_lee@mstdn.social @richrollgardener@toot.wales
