I recently published a story about a cybersecurity startup run by Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, two convicted fraudsters and con men who've been selling the ability for wealthy convicts to gain a presidential pardon. 60 Minutes just featured an interview with these two in tonight's show. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-pardon-economy-60-minutes-transcript/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7d&linkId=1008528987 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRxNh21Edr0 https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-pardon-economy-60-minutes-transcript/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7d&linkId=1008528987 My report from July 2026: https://krebsonsecurity.com/2026/07/felons-fraudsters-flog-offensive-cybersecurity-startup/

  • @briankrebs@infosec.exchange paid pardons? Feels like it should be so illegal that the one trying to pardon would get in jail if justice and rules would have any meaning, right?

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange I’m not from the US. You’ve got Hollywood—people there have normal clothes and hairstyles. But then I see American TV—the people on it, the female presenters on Newsmax or Fox News. Do they realize it’s not the 80s anymore?
