on sat i saw a talk about plants human was sharing about growing figs and how it is hard b/c of cold from Nov to Mar, said warming your fig plants outdoors with xmas lights is a way to jumpstart growth in spring. following that said garlic did bad last b/c it was not abundantly cold Nov to Mar. it is fascinating what you can do to adapt, but also it sounds as though you grow against your location, and you go try making your location fit two oppositional goals
