@aral@mastodon.ar.al Why use the concept of "nation" when you mean states? It's an ideological construct to subsume a multitude of people under a common concept, in order to control people. A dangerous myth which takes effect only in so far as people believe in it. We shouldn't use it as if it was just a neutral descriptive notion. Btw: Not all antifascists who have a german passport support Zionism.😉

@aral@mastodon.ar.al I wonder whether Germany’s decision is influenced by pressure from the United States or Israel, and, if so, what form that pressure might take. Germany is a major arms supplier to Israel, so it has a direct interest in resisting this case. It’s complicity especially continuing to supply weapon or failing to act to prevent genocide following the ICJ interim ruling is also certain. Its position may also reflect broader strategic concerns, including its relationship with Israel and security fears linked to Russia. Who knows.

I wish iranian people can be free one day, exactely as I wish palestinian people can be free as well; and not under hamas armed groups but under a civil government. in the west there has been an anti-iran rethoric for years now, trying to depict iranian people and muslims in general as threatening. I don't buy that. I hate (all) governments, I know people are different. And to say that all children dead are a result of a strategy it's too much...israel is targeting all people, even people looking for bread and water. we can't defend that, regardless of which government does it. people have to unite against fascism and military violence @aral@mastodon.ar.al

@delta_fsociety@mastodon.social isn't it convenient to think all people were human shield? israel has been actively occupying lands and pushing palestinians away since the beginning. now they are also occupying again the west bank. it is in israel's interest that people either die or go away. it is nobody else's interest. they want palestinian people (all people) to either die or live in fear. they target everyone. everytime they bomb a hospital they say "hamas was hiding there". very convenient for them, but nobody actually believes it. and even if it were true (which is not); even if 10 armed people from hamas were hiding in a hospital, would you bomb an entire hospital with sick people, pregnant women, old people, kids? it's a war crime. @aral@mastodon.ar.al

I'm trying to make sense of your argument here because it seems quite beside the point.

Military B kills military A personnel and civilians. Your conclusion is then: Military A is responsible for the death of the civilians, not military B? Do you see no responsibility for military B to avoid killing civilians? There are international laws about that, you know? The Israeli military assigns numbers to people they accuse of being Hamas, namely how many civilian deaths they deem okay for killing that one person. When they are relatively sure that they can kill that military person with fewer civilian deaths, they do. Is that something you support? Furthermore, they do other stuff like double strikes, killing journalists, and they have a department to find dirt on the dead.
