@zer0billionaires@mastodon.social yeah, I really love Damien's content. He's not a YouTuber by inclination, he started as an essayist and podcaster, with deep dive intellectual science fiction criticism (eg. How do emerging themes in science fiction subconsciously reflect sentiment and anxieties in modern society), with an eventual YouTube outlet on the side to draw in larger audiences. His big bold theories are always interesting, even the times I don't agree with them, which is rare.

@zer0billionaires@mastodon.social after that Elon vid, the "next" follow on is Damien's analysis of the Culture, which, despite loving the subject matter, I personally felt was one of Damien's weakest ones, so don't be put off by that. If you're into his stuff, *do* trawl through his back catalog including the audio podcasts, there is some absolute gold in there, mind altering stuff that I'll forever carry forward in my understanding of the world.
