Gardiner and I both worked on a depressing little article about how A.I. companies are quite literally destroying warehouses full of books for their own profit.
This is (I think) the second time Gardiner and I have written an article together. I hope that even though it is some sobering news, it might help as yet another reminder that everything we love is slowly being taken from us by companies working for their own ends.

@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social I'm looking forward for a job where I'll be forced to use as little AI as possible. I hate how everything turns out in this world. It feels like all these companies are literally eating into our civilization.
