i guess it kinda depends on how you got to declarative systems? if it's
sees nix -> "huh declarative systems" -> realises nix sucks
i do understand it, but for me it was
"it'd be nice if i could configure everything in one spot" -> see options -> all options suck -> still interested in that

@rose@brain.worm.pink @coolbean@brain.worm.pink ig one issue to me is, what does one spot means a lot of people want a single config file in one format, and i feel like that requires a lot of awkward translations to all kinds of dsls programs use (which have vastly different semantics)
