  With the silencing and default-block setup piefed.social has now, we get all the benefits of defederation without any of the costs. There really hasn’t been the kind of crisis with them that would bring the issue to a head. When there are problems it’s not with the admins, it’s with individual accounts. So we just muddle on. There are worse instances. We can’t divide and fight our way to a fediverse that defeats reddit / meta. We need to build something together. Sometimes that will mean excluding destructive elements but most of our energy needs to go into making something awesome, a place people want to come to instead of big tech offerings.
