How active is Mastodon for authors and narrators? I'm still trying to get a feel for this space. Aside from #bookstodon and #audiobooks, what are other good hashtags to follow? Does anyone post casting calls here? (I've heard that's a big thing on the bird site, but I'm not going back there.) Please boost for reach!

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social There's sizeable communities gathering around hashtags such as WritersCoffeeClub and WordWeavers (not adding the hash thingy as to not intrude there). You might like to take a peek.

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social I'm on an instance that is very writer-centric. Additional useful hashtags are the various genres you enjoy, such as #ScienceFiction and #Writing

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social I remember casting calls from the bird site, before it was Musked. Sadly, I haven't found any here.

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social There's also a group (!@bookstodon@fedigroups.social) which you can follow. If you tag the group (remove the ! in front) then that post gets boosted. @bookstodon@fedigroups.social #Bookstodon

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social There's definitely a bunch of authors on here, a lot on the wandering.shop instance (you don't need to move or anything, but their handles will end in that)

@KatDawson_Narrator@mastodon.social there's definitely some authors around; I'm aware of @cstross@wandering.shop and @JulietEMcKenna@mastodon.sdf.org of the top of my head they both regularly post to writing related hash tags that will help find other authors.
