@adrinux@fosstodon.org Assuming you asked this in good faith, in fact I use Amazon for things I can't get in local stores, which turns out to be quite a few things during the course of a given year in the bumfuck area where I live. For some things I could use Walmart's website, which I don't think would be a great deal better if "screw the billionaires" is what you're aiming at.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange That's sort of what I expected. I don't think Amazon has the same footprint here in the UK, there's still other stores and other web retailers to choose from. I deleted my account a couple of years ago, had no problems, but I had heard others talk about just how dominant it is in the USA now, so I'm not surprised by your answer. Sucks though.
