still think that gwendoline christie should play king in any proper live-action aof/kof adaptation in-game king is portrayed as somewhat tall, but not distractingly so—5'9", compared to an average of 5'5" for french women likewise at 5'10" ryo is a little taller than average for both jp and the us so canonically ryo and king are about the same height—but in terms of personality, ryo has such scrappy-little-dude energy, especially in kof, like he's used to having to stand up to people much bigger than he and he's gotten a little bit weird from it and likewise king reads as a towering presence just in terms of who they are—again, most specifically their kof incarnations—king feels like she should have almost a foot on ryo. he should be forced to look up to meet her eyes, unless she descends to his level. not that they would ever mention the physicality of it. it's all psychological. christie is 6'3"—so a little shorter than azure's vessel here, but close enough that combined with the presence of her particular innate personality, i know the way she will read next to a very slighly shorter-than-average and very slightly insecure about it genki narrow-focused weird little dude. cast a 5'4", 5'5" mildly idosyncratic half-japanese himbo as ryo, put them together, and just watch the magic unfold by virtue of their juxtaposition and how that will inform the shape of their interaction.
