this about sums up my experience.
more often than not when i do encounter misogyny or transphobia coming from someone off-instance and it’s taken care of when pointed out.

Didn’t even mention the transphobia but places like this and bearsite are such an oasis. Even when I do see transphobia it is at least subtler.
