Is Character.AI the Pets.com of the #AIbubble? The canary in the coalmine? Or will the markets continue to stay irrational beyond our ability to stay solvent?

@audunmb@todon.nl While I wished it were, I feel like the fact Character.AI was experiencing its bubble pop *while* being devoured by other large (tech/media) players, muddles the comparison somewhat… I think we'll need to wait for the first proper AI company to buckle under the weight of its own unsustainable cash haemorrhage, to call it the official pets.com moment…
