It occurs to me that there are only two types of dying toaster: 1) The shuffling sigh type. Barely warming. Really more suggesting woefully of warming. Sliding toward the heat death of the universe. 2) The INFERNO HELLFIRE dying toaster. You keep dialing to lighter and lighter settings, but THIS star is approaching supernova. It laughs demonically as it watches try to avoid charcoaling your bagel. If you leaned in closer, it would pull you in and turn you to CINDERS. There is no in between.
