In any case, reversal of the runaway greenhouse state requires a method of removing carbon from the atmosphere, which is not possible without weathering due to rainfall, which is not possible due to the heat. It is a vicious cycle, and when turned on for a planet, reversal seems rather impossible. The exact details of how the runaway started are up for debate though.
