In my latest for Reactor, I explore the history of nonbinary pronouns in science fiction, and why I always include nonbinary characters in my novels. https://reactormag.com/why-pronouns-matter-in-science-fiction/

@annaleen@wandering.shop I've noticed this in your work but also that the inclusion of non-binary characters is generally becoming more common, across several literary genders. Looking forward to reading your essay!

@annaleen@wandering.shop OK, this has given me an idea to explore in my work-in-progress. Thank you! So far, it's been much more "about" discovering one's place on the asexual spectrum than about gender identity. But now I'm starting to wonder if there's more.
