@giuseppebilotta@fediscience.org isn't this simple an system of linear inequalities then? I am sure there are solution algorithms which should work, but this is just guessing, too. Did you search for such algorithms?

@benni@social.tchncs.de I've looked for existing tools and libraries to work with those and none of the ones I've managed to test so far scale well to the case of hundreds of thousands of variables, but it might be that I either haven't found the right one or I'm not presently using them the right way.
