Anyone else noticed youtube has turned from a place with loads of interesting and educational documentary style content about anything into basically 24/7 shopping channel.
Seems every time a video about a hobby I like is released its in conjunction with a product launch. Most of the purely educational channels I follow have either switched to releasing their own products and with it their media presence prioritises that or have just gone radio silent altogether

I tend to filter out those channels, and it's resulted in my feed just drying up into news comentary and that's about it. There is an endless supply of pundits on youtube, my god it's unbearable.
