This is me explaining why bathrooms and showers/tubs should be separate rooms. I think Japan has depictions of this in anime that I’ve seen. It just makes no sense to me to have both the shitter and the shower/tub be in the same space. Plumbing-wise, maybe it does make sense. Functionally and me personally, I think it’s stupid them being in the same space/room and it’s just a shortcut they’ve labeled as “standard” when it isn’t ideal.
