There are perhaps two routes to obtain arcane knowledge. One is through meditative introspection and the other is through sacrificing puppies to Baphomet. There are then two possible reasons to be biased against arcana revealed via the demonic idol. Firstly because the knowledge may well be less reliable, and second because it is ethically stained through cruelty to puppies. But there is always a third route. Someone else may deliver the knowledge to you second hand. You can certainly take steps to check it's reliability but can you truly ever know that no animal was harmed? Once you do accept external contributions then the only honest stance you can take is to admit that it's possible that puppies were sacrificed to obtain it. This is not a post about the occult.
