Testing #Pipilo on iPhone Duo simulator. Since the app already supports iPad there isn't anything terribly wrong. Mostly minor padding issues.
The bottom bar perhaps could be converted into a side menu and moved to avoid the fold…

Because the app already supports multiple scenes on iPad, split screen works with no work required. For example here I have 2 instances of the app. One browsing timeline and another in post composer.
