@imrehg@fosstodon.org Photo published 1915 in a publication commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Taiwan Sugar Manufacturing Company. The scene portrayed is at the Ako factory, which was located in present-day Pingtung. The writing on the bags appears to say “TA日”. We can’t link that back to the company name or the factory - it may denote the quality or characteristics of the sugar inside.
