Remembering Piedmont Flight 467 On October 25, 1986, Piedmont Airlines Flight 467, a Boeing 737-222, overran the runway while landing at Charlotte Douglas in rain and fog. The aircraft came to rest beside the railroad tracks beyond the runway. Everyone on board survived, although several passengers were seriously injured.
