With the influx of AI-generated ads I’ve seen, especially on Facebook, I wondered to myself, what if I did something polar-opposite? What if I created flyers that looked like the 8-bit version of The Print Shop? Well, some nice folks (Melody and April Ayres-Griffiths) ported The Print Shop to the web. Delightfully retro, if not particularly effective IRL as a printed poster. However, I think at least fun and whimsical for the digital age.

They interviewed a French student who was like 16 on the BBC, she defended the principle of violent protesting from a left-wing direction (despite the obvious well poisoning attempts by the BBC). You wouldn't hear it in many other places!

In the last 8 hours trump claimed that livestreamed executions by firing squad will happen, claimed that people should "fight back" against Somalians, claimed he never threatened to nuke San Diego, and also said that anyone who disagrees with AI being called SI is an enemy of the state. Probably he became desperate due to losing.

The immigration fanaticism of the british establishment continues to defy all reason, I tried to watch a Channel 4 documentary about parakeets (the bright green parrots), which are basically an invasive species in the UK (but there is no evidence they actually harm any other species yet but with asterisks) and they kept trying to shoehorn in immigration by suggesting that people who don't like them are xenophobic. What?? They completely glossed over a psychopath who shot the parakeets in the...

After watching "No Kings: Vote Early" and the "October 17th manifestation" in France at the same time, Americans should shut up with their quasi-protests.

I fucking walkmog these car drivers lmao. I love walking past cars stuck in traffic. Also Gloucester City Council (which currently has no leader or cabinet because of the 39 wankers who hate each other known as members voting out the leadership and refusing to come up with an alternative one) has diverted a dual carriaegway traffic down a one lane road leading to 25 minute delays (for a stretch of road that takes ~30 seconds to drive down normally)

Now if you're in Brazil, and you weren't going to vote, after this farce, make sure to vote now. :D

I am just now discovering the carrotcypher drama and would like to publicly state that: - trans lives matter, especially if they are that of young students oppressed by their teachers and parents - ICE should never send people to prison because of their activism (nor for any other reason really) - FOSS is political and as such cannot dissociate itself from other political struggles Context: https://floss.social/@janet/114501020787694470

So I've been thinking a lot about the right (fair) price of digital content lately (software, music, games, movies, 3D models, you name it). Because all the cost is up front, and once it's done it can be copied endlessly, digital content has always been the capitalist's wet dream, and effectively a great money milking machine for big corp. (Because they charge the same for every copy. Forever.) My conclusion is that fairness can only be achieved through pay-what-you-wan...
